Archive files and reports

The ASAR inspector processes selected files in your browser. File bytes, filenames, file contents, and generated reports are not uploaded to our servers. Opening the example creates an original demonstration archive in browser memory.

Previewed source is displayed as text, not executed. Downloads are created locally. The “Copy task” button writes only the displayed investigation task to your clipboard when you click it. We do not read your clipboard.

Storage and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website visits and interactions. Google Analytics collects information such as page URLs, referrers, and browser or device details, and may use cookies to distinguish visits. We do not send selected archive contents, filenames, or generated reports to Google Analytics. See Google’s Privacy Policy for how Google handles this information.

This version has no user accounts and does not save your selected archive to browser storage. Closing the page or opening another archive releases the current inspection session.

Website hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Serving a webpage necessarily involves network information such as your IP address, requested URL, and browser headers. Cloudflare may process access and security logs under its policies. Those requests do not contain the archive you select in the inspector.

External tools and links

Official REA links and other references take you to separate websites. If you paste an investigation task or source code into a coding agent, that agent and its model provider apply their own data policies. Browser-local file inspection does not imply that a later AI-assisted investigation is entirely offline.
